This activity was designed for a low/mid ability year 9 class for a lesson on expressing one quantity as a percentage of another.

The task requires pupils to use the values on the worksheet in combination with those on the power point to create their own percentages. Then pupils can decide whether the statements made by Trump are mathematically accurate.

I used it as a group activity but could be completed individually or in pairs.

Power point includes all answers.

The facts about the USA are true but the statements made by Trump in the activity are fictional.
