KS2 History - Tudor Court Profile and Writing Task
This resource focuses on two, high status, black courtiers in Tudor times. Catalina de Cardones was a Moorish lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon, brought to England as part of a large entourage from Spain. John Blanke was a musician in the court of Henry VII and Henry VIII, and was immortalised on the Westminster Tournament Roll. This resource has comprehension and discussion questions for pupils to explore their understanding. There is also a suggested writing task for pupils to extend their comprehension skills and to practise creative writing. This resource contains two sheets, one for early stage readers and one for more advanced readers.
