A short lesson on the different types of Oxides. Designed for CIE iGCSE but can be adapted easily for other specifications. Students have to use prior knowledge of periodic table and reactions of acids & bases to work out reactions and patterns in formulae of oxides. The plenary includes some exam type questions (with mark schemes) to check for understanding.

03/10/18 Edit: Added activity which can be can be cut out and used like a card sort or to fill in the blanks for each oxide. Info on some of the oxides is above GCSE level so has already been filled in for students.

2 exam questions were only useful thing for a lesson - the rest of the ppt was simply information taken from a textbook and written down. No tasks, activities or engagement at all for students. NOT worth any money!
