This is a ready-to-teach, five-week package covering all three Learning Aims and all 13 assessment criteria (Pass to Distinction) for Unit 5: Data Modelling. Every resource is built around the Teaching for Effective Learning (TEL) framework, fully addressing the four limiting judgements: A1 (Differentiation), B2 (Challenge), D1 (Learner Discussion Dominates), and E1 (Self-Monitoring).
Five files are included:
Teaching Slides (62 slides, .pptx) - A professional, full-colour deck with a dedicated Learning Outcome and Success Criteria slide opening every lesson. Every slide carries detailed speaker notes with minute-by-minute pace guides, facilitation moves, and common misconception warnings. Discussion slides are always followed by an expected response slide.
Lesson Plans (.docx) - Twenty TEL-aligned plans across five weeks, each structured with a learner-led starter, three-tier differentiated main activity, B2 challenge task, and a criteria-linked self-monitoring plenary.
Differentiated Worksheets (.docx) - Fourteen worksheets, each split into Foundation (scaffolded), Core (independent), and Extension (evaluative) tiers, covering all key lessons from decision-making stages through to final evaluation.
Model Answers (.docx) - Full teacher copy with colour-coded answers at Pass, Merit, and Distinction level, including worked calculations, model Distinction paragraphs, and UAT guidance.
Summary Notes (.docx) - A comprehensive learner and teacher reference covering all specification content, a 20-term glossary, formula reference, and all 13 criteria explained in plain language.
All resources centre on a single coherent vocational scenario - a UK cheese importer navigating exchange rate fluctuations - which builds progressively across all five weeks. Files are fully editable Microsoft Office format.
