Van Gogh's Starry Night - Part 1 Literacy: Write a short Poem , Part 2 Creative: Illustrated Poem

A 2 part Literacy and Creative mini project based on Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting.
Pupils should be familiar with The Starry Night. Fits into Impressionism, landscape, colour theory projects, Key Stage 3.

Linking cross curriculum and promoting literacy through Art, this 2/3 lesson project gives pupils the chance to respond creatively through word and image.

Part 1: Worksheet with examples of poems and songs inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Instructions on making a short Poem.
Part 2: Worksheets with examples of what an Illustrated poem is and instructions on how to create one.
This lesson could be split into 2 parts to get a better quality resolved final piece.
