Bring a splash of colour and creativity into your classroom with this engaging Van Gogh agamograph! Inspired by Sunflowers and Starry Night, this hands-on art activity invites children to explore two of Vincent Van Gogh’s most beloved masterpieces in one clever, eye-catching piece.
As pupils tilt their artwork, they’ll see the bright, joyful yellows of Sunflowers transform into the swirling blues of The Starry Night - a lovely way to spark curiosity, discussion and a real appreciation for art. Perfect for lessons on famous artists, art history or just a bit of creative fun, this resource supports fine motor skills, visual perception and imaginative thinking.
Ideal for primary classrooms, art clubs or early finishers, this agamograph is easy to use and always a hit with children. A great way to celebrate Van Gogh while letting young artists put their own stamp on two timeless works.
How to make an agamograph:
- Colour the two pictures.
- Carefully, cut out the pictures and cut them into strips, following the lines.
- Glue the strips onto a base page (e.g. an A3 page), alternating between the two pictures (one strip from picture A, then one from picture B) and placing them side by side in order.
- Fold along the lines to make a zig-zag shape.
- Stand it up and turn it side to side to see each picture appear!
