This is a 9-lesson unit that looks at different artwork that has been created to depict different Bible stories, and gives the students the opportunity to draw an element of the story in response. Key to this unit is that students are given time to imagine what a painting, depicting, say, Daniel and the Lion’s Den, might look like, and give them some examples to discuss.
This unit was taught to Year 9 in a Christian school, and connected to their unit on a Biblical overview.

The lessons are around Noah’s Ark, Creation, Moses, Daniel, Jonah, Psalms, Nativity and then the rest of the time was spent planning out their mini-stained glass window designs.
