A complete, sequenced course for the whole topic, built to the Issue 6 specification and written for an experienced teacher: open the deck, read the slides, and teach. Each lesson is planned to the minute: a 50-minute core path plus up to 10 minutes “if time”.

What you get

  • 24 PowerPoints (872 slides in total), Verdana, fully editable, with answers on the slides and in the speaker notes.
  • Explanation slides written to be read aloud: two to four connected paragraphs beside an original diagram, so you can read each slide to the class as one coherent explanation. Notes give one core question, an extra explanation if you need it, and a stretch question.
  • Diagrams that look like the real world: process diagrams are drawn as landscapes and cross-sections, with stores in boxes and flows on arrows.
  • Teacher notes for all 24 lessons (Word): timeline with slide numbers, answers, mark schemes, specification map, misconceptions, figures to check, sources with dates.
  • 19 class-set resource sheets (Word) where students need data, maps or graphs on paper (two sides at most).
  • Original exam practice in the Section C shapes: 3-mark (with a figure), 6, 8, 12 and 20-mark questions in every enquiry question, with levels mark schemes, student mark-scheme slides and annotated C and A* example answers (single full-mark answers for the 3-mark items).
  • Two group projects with presentation lessons: a basin under pressure (Lesson 14) and a water security plan (Lesson 23).
  • Independent-study lessons (about one in three) with textbook routes, and a stretch on every task.
  • End-of-topic paper (Lesson 24): 37 marks (3 + 6 + 8 + 20), printed paper, mark scheme and self-mark slides, plus a topic review.
  • Retrieval built in: every lesson opens with a starter that retrieves earlier lessons and ends with an exit quiz and homework.
  • START-HERE guide with the sequence, how the lessons are built and the task variety.

Real, current case studies with named, dated sources. Amazonia, the Yukon, Amazon and Indus regimes, the Millennium Drought in the Murray-Darling, Pakistan’s 2022 floods and England’s 2007 floods, glaciers and the cryosphere, UK climate projections, the Mekong Delta, India, the Nile and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, China’s South-North transfer, desalination, Singapore and the Colorado River. Development labels use the specification’s terms by HDI category at the time, with “then v now”.

Original resource. Not endorsed by, or affiliated with, Pearson or Edexcel. All exam questions are original and written in the style of the paper.
