

This lesson is likely to take two hours and has been split on the PowerPoint accordingly.
Pupils will start by looking at what is development and will use a picture study to challenge their misconceptions on what a developed country looks like. Pupils will then be introduced to development indicators and use data to begin to form opinions on whether a country is seen as developed or developing.
Pupils will then use development indicator data to graphically present the data to make comparisons between countries level of development and form conclusions based on this.
Suitable for Key Stage 3 as part of a unit on Development.
