Snowman Handprint Craft for Kids | Christmas & Winter Printable Activity

Bring a personalized art activity into your Christmas or winter classroom with this Snowman Handprint Craft for Kids. Students complete the cheerful snowman design by adding their own painted handprints on either side of the picture, creating the “warm hugs” that accompany the message “Warm Hugs from Frosty Hands!”

Designed for ages 4–8, this printable activity is well suited to preschool and early elementary seasonal crafting. It gives students a simple hands-on art experience while creating a finished piece that can be displayed in the classroom or sent home as a winter keepsake.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
This digital resource includes:

• 1 snowman handprint craft template
• JPEG format

No physical materials are included.

HOW STUDENTS COMPLETE THE CRAFT
Print one template for each student. Children add a painted handprint to one side of the snowman and repeat on the other side to create the snowman’s “warm hugs.”
After the paint dries, the completed artwork is ready for a classroom display, hallway display, take-home craft, or seasonal keepsake.

CLASSROOM USES

• Christmas craft time
• Winter art activities
• Preschool and kindergarten seasonal projects
• Small-group crafting
• Winter classroom or hallway displays
• December activities
• January snowman themes
• Take-home winter keepsakes

The snowman theme makes the resource useful beyond Christmas. Teachers can use it during a general winter or snowman unit, including after the holiday season.

PREP & MATERIALS
Print the template in US Letter or A4 format and prepare washable, child-safe paint for the handprints. Teachers may also want their usual table protection and cleanup supplies when using paint in the classroom.
Adult assistance or supervision is recommended when younger children are working with paint.

FINISHED PROJECT
Each student creates an individual snowman picture personalized with two handprints. The finished project combines seasonal artwork with a record of the child’s hands, making it suitable for classroom displays as well as a keepsake to send home to families.
