A detailed and well differentiated lesson which fits both AQA and Edexcel Citizenship GCSE 9-1. This lesson focuses on the development of Human Rights from Magna Carta to the present day. Students will investigate the impact of Magna Carta and it’s significance on the evolution of rights such as the UN HDHR, the European Convention on Human Rights, the UNCRC, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Equality Act of 2010.
The lesson includes a detailed, 1 hour PowerPoint, information and source sheets, differentiated activity worksheets, differentiated challenge activities and clips tasks, timeline and information sheets. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.
