This is an engaging and fun activity on writing linear equations.

Students have to find the equations of 12 lines labeled with the letters from
a to l. There is a table where there are given two points that each line passes through. Students search for their answers in another two tables and find the names of 12 brightest starts which are corresponding to their answers.
I have included short information about all astronomical objects mentioned in this activity (stars, asteroids and satellites of Solar System’s planets).

I hope this activity stimulates your students’ interests in both math and astronomy.

Answer keys included.
