Writing Skills - Colons

KS3 Lesson - A lesson from a Writing Skills SOW, introducing students to colons and teaching them how to use it in their writing. A variety of activities, including a speech marks quiz where students identify the missing colons and correct them (with answers), planning activities for a creative writing task, a creative writing task using colons where pupils write a descriptive narrative on an explorer finding a temple, a model paragraph, and more.
