Year 1 everyday resource mat

This resource is designed to support Year 1 children with their everyday learning activities. It combines key elements of both maths and English from the Year 1 curriculum.

The resource includes:

• Letter formation (upper and lower case alphabet)

• Number cards from 1–10 with numerals and words

• Base ten representations for place value (tens and ones)

• Key writing reminders (capital letters, finger spaces, full stops)

• A selection of adjectives to support sentence writing

• Year 1 tricky/common exception words for spelling and reading

I place this resource on the tables so that children can use it for support and reminders during independent and guided learning.
