A complete, self-running Year 11 revision session for Mentor Time. Includes a distraction bracket, revision methods, examples and brain breaks.
This resource provides a fully structured, self‑running 45‑minute revision session designed specifically for Year 11 Mentor Time. It requires zero teacher input and gives students a clear, repeatable routine they can follow independently.
The session begins with a high‑engagement “What Would You Give Up? distraction bracket, helping students reflect on their habits and work environment. Students then move into a guided revision cycle using the three Revision Gears:
- Blurt – memory retrieval
- Reduce – condensing information
- Map – linking ideas visually
Slides are intentionally repeated to support smooth flow, allowing mentors to cycle through the revision loop without needing to navigate backwards. Perfect for form tutors, intervention groups, cover lessons and whole‑school revision routines.
