Comparing and ordering numbers to 100 with a bakery theme. Children compare trays of ten doughnuts and Tens and Ones charts using <, > and =, then compare and order two-digit numbers, find missing digits and compare calculations. Pip the baker cat’s reasoning question tackles a common mistake: is 100 really less than 99 because 1 is less than 9?

The sheet comes in three differentiated levels (Supported ●, Core ●●, Extending ●●●), all practising the same skill. You can hand out all three in one lesson and the whole class works on the same objective. A teacher’s answers page with the matching National Curriculum objective is included.

What’s Inside

● Supported (2 pages): trays of ten and Tens and Ones charts, with a sign key
●● Core: compare with <, > and =, then order numbers to 100
●●● Extending: calculations, missing digits, ordering five numbers and reasoning
