This resource is a set of example questions that aim to give Year 3 children the opportunity to improve their mathematical reasoning skills. The topic is Fractions.
The examples include differentiated questions and teacher guidance notes to ensure marking is consistent. More examples like these will become available for other areas of the maths curriculum (and for other year groups).
Intended for use in class or as part of an intervention, the questions can easily be stuck in children’s workbooks for them to answer underneath. As well, they could be used as homework sheets (with parents using the teacher guidance notes as support).
