Year 3 Monster Measure Up

What’s inside: This 13-page Year 3 measuring pack brings back the monsters from Crack the Monster Code to find out who’s tallest! It starts with an Adult Toolkit for the grown-up, with a 10 cm print check and worked examples and teaching tips for measuring in centimetres, comparing lengths, adding lengths and “3 times as tall”. Kids cut out 10 monsters, each printed to an exact whole number of centimetres. They estimate and measure on a measuring sheet, order them from shortest to tallest, then solve 12 Bronze, Silver and Gold question cards using addition, subtraction and the 3 times table. A monster tower challenge invites kids to build towers to target heights and design their own monster. It finishes with an “I can…” tracker and full answers, including every monster’s height.
