Day 1 - pre-calculate AFL task - can children find the numbers that sit between 2 given numbers? (Year 2 objective)
Children then work on partitioning numbers.
Day 2 - partitioning - make the smallest/largest number you can using digit cards.
Day 3 - Find different ways of partitioning a number e.g. 440 = 400 + 40 + 0 or 400 + 20 + 20
Day 4 - Find 10 or 100 more/less than a given number.
Day 5 - Identify multiples of 10 and other numbers between 2 numbers. Great fun if you use cones and take children to the playground for this lesson. (optional)
Day 6 - Compare and order numbers using <, > and =
Day 7 - Post-calculate activity (no flipchart included for this lesson) because it’s about seeing what the children have learnt.

I have slightly differentiated each lesson by numbers. Purple font lessons are slightly harder than blue font lessons.
