Year 4 PE Curriculum

A complete Year 4 PE curriculum: yearly overview plus 6 full units of work, fully mapped to the National Curriculum.
Two brand-new sports join the curriculum in Year 4: Hockey and Cricket, both built from first principles with safety-conscious technique teaching. Netball also gets its first full standalone unit.

What’s included:

6 Units of Work: Netball, Gymnastics, Dodgeball & Benchball-type Games, Hockey, Cricket, Athletics
36 fully resourced lessons (6 per unit), each with: objectives, equipment & key vocabulary, warm-up, 4 main activities, plenary, planned questions, assessment guidance, and SEN/G&T differentiation using the STEP framework

Hockey and Cricket lessons start from grip, stance and safe contact rules, no prior pupil experience assumed.
