This five-lesson art and design unit introduces Year 5 pupils to the bold, abstract style of artist Peter Thorpe.

Children explore space-themed compositions through drawing, painting and collage, experimenting with techniques such as marbling, salt and bleach resist, and layered backgrounds. Sketchbook activities encourage exploration of proportion, shape, and contrasting colour palettes.

The sequence culminates in a striking final piece: a mixed-media space artwork combining textured backgrounds with carefully composed rockets, planets, and abstract forms.

The unit supports skill progression in composition, contrast, and mixed-media layering while inspiring creativity through an exciting space theme.

I totally agree with below comment. Don't mind paying the £2 but it had no acompanying resources with it, like it implied form the photos. The medium term plan is fab but it refers to the ppt and resources which aren't along side it so it's a bit useless without that. Feel like my 2 pounds has been wasted now. Disappointing. If the seller is reading this, please could you send me the resources to go with this planning. Thank you

Is there a powerpoint to go with this? the plan suggests there should be something to 'show slides?'
