This teaching PowerPoint resource focuses on multiplying fractions and is linked to the Year 6 National Curriculum. In total there are seven slides:
Slides 1 - 4 (teach) - Step by step instructions with examples of how to multiply fractions with diagrams to help.
Slide 5 (practise) - Examples for the children to solve with answers
Slides 6 and 7 (extend) - Slide 6 has some more challenging questions where the children really have to think and apply their knowledge. Slide 7 has the answers.
The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 6 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2.
