A weeks worth of resources on place value that link directly to the White Rose Maths small steps breakdown.

This is pack 1 of 2 on Year 6 place value and covers the small steps Numbers to 10,000,000 and Compare and Order any Number.  The resources take inspiration from the White Rose Maths scheme of learning and aims to help children gain a deeper understanding of the concepts covered in the first week.  Numbers are represented in a variety of ways and lend themselves well for use alongside concrete manipulatives such as place value counters and Base 10.

The resources include pictorial and abstract representations as well as reasoning and problem solving activities and more open ended problems to support and extend your whole class.

I hope you find them useful.

I'm glad you're happy with them! I couldn't put weeks 1 and 2 in a bundle as there's not enough packs. But weeks 3-6 are available and weeks 7-10 will be available soon.

Looking forward to trying these out. Would it be possible to have the place value chart changed to say ones instead of units?
