Over the years, and across the globe, I have found that outstanding leaders in schools, at many levels, have several things in common. Here is a collection of characteristics of outstanding leaders in schools, characteristics that you can look for, demand, develop, and maintain.

• Open discussions and debates about the characteristics of an outstanding leaders in schools;
