A fully resourced Yr8 Religious Education assessment for a unit on Hinduism, designed to assess student knowledge, understanding and evaluation skills.

The assessment includes a range of exam-style questions (1, 4, 6 and 12 mark), allowing pupils to demonstrate understanding of key topics such as Brahman, the Trimurti, karma, and the story of Rama and Sita.

A structured help sheet is included, supporting students with how to answer extended questions, including guidance on developing explanations and evaluations. This makes the resource suitable for mixed-ability classes and helps build confidence in longer written responses.

The lesson also includes a self-marking section, enabling pupils to reflect on their learning and identify areas for improvement.

Designed to fill a full lesson, this resource can be used as an end-of-unit assessment or consolidation activity.

✓ Includes 1, 4, 6 and 12 mark questions
✓ Covers key Hindu beliefs and practices
✓ Includes help sheet and writing scaffold
✓ Suitable for KS3 RE (Yr8)

Note: There is intentionally one Judaism question within this assessment, as research on cognitive science shows that interleaving topics within assessments helps long term learning. Judaism is one of my previous yr8 modules (also available on tes), but it can be easily replaced with a Hinduism 4mk Q. If you need advice on this, please message.

Addition: There is also a reading attached. I used this for a home-learning prior to the assessment, but it can also be used as a revision tool or an extension task.
