anjalehmann

Having previously worked in risk management in the City, I finished my PGCE in 2010 and have thoroughly enjoy teaching maths ever since. I am currently second in department at Newstead Wood School and have responsibility for KS4. This is certainly an exciting role given the present changes in the curriculum.

Since September 2016, I've also occasionally worked as an associate tutor at CCCU supporting the ITE course. I am enthused by new education ideas and love sharing them - there is nothing better than getting students excited by maths! I particularly enjoy teaching statistics across KS3, KS4 and post-16.

Having just completed my NQT year, I am now an RQT working for a fantastic school in Leeds. I absolutely love teaching; while it’s hard work, it is rewarding, and most of all, great fun!

My main role is as a teacher of maths, but this year I am also starting a STEM club and doing additional pastoral training.

I have a healthy obsession with the Ancient Greeks and their mathematics and I’m interested in all applications of maths. When I’m not at school I love to travel, catch up with friends and family, and bake cakes.

I have been teaching maths at Grange Academy (that's in Kilmarnock, Scotland) since 2006. I'll blether to anyone and everyone about maths, especially if the subject of pi crops up. In fact, my geeky 2015 TEDx talk title was My Life of Pi.

I love to share maths ideas and resources and write a free weekly newsletter, which is emailed out to maths lovers worldwide. My most popular resource on TES has to be my collection of maths relay races.

I am assistant head of maths at Rivington and Blackrod High School in Bolton and have been teaching for six years. I have been a member of the TES Maths panel for a number of years now and enjoy discovering new exciting resources to share.

I am passionate about making maths relevant to young people as well as engaging and fun. I believe that nobody is bad at maths, we just learn in different ways. I love changing attitudes and opinions.

colm1405 - Colm Lynch

I’m currently head of maths in an 11-18 school in Bolton. Aside from the obvious concerns about curriculum changes, my main challenge is to ensure students are engaged and enjoying mathematics.

Reviewing the resources out there provides a fantastic way of doing this, so thank you all for continuing to upload your resources for us to use and share!

I currently teach at Markham College in Lima, Peru, where I also hold the role of teaching and learning coordinator. I am moving into my sixth year of teaching and am always looking for engaging tasks to stimulate a love of maths in my students.

I enjoy setting challenging problems for my students to solve and helping them to develop their thinking skills. I am also a huge fan of using technology in the classroom. It was this that led me to develop my website.

I’m the mathematics lead practitioner and numeracy coordinator at Acklam Grange School, as well as being the face behind Miss B’s Resources. One of my main focuses is to make maths fun, memorable and accessible for all students. This has given me a passion for creating and finding high quality numeracy, maths and teaching and learning ideas and resources.

As well as having a substantial Twitter and blog following, I also run my own website. I am the author of Forty Pence Each Or Two For One Pound published by Crown House and a member of the AQA expert panel. I also enjoy regularly speaking at events across the UK.

When I started my teacher training six years ago, there were very few teaching resources available that suited my teaching style. I set out to create a bank of resources that I could improve year-on-year to use in my lessons and share with others .

Since then, I have worked my way up to assistant headteacher with a responsibility for maths, and have been nominated for TES Resource Contributor of the Year along the way. I currently work in Grantham at a school where pupils face challenges in and out of school. I aspire to help them improve their lifelong opportunities.

My teaching career started in 2001 and I'm currently teaching maths and statistics to 11- to 18-year olds. In the past, I've been a head of year and am currently an advanced skills teacher and lead practitioner.

I particularly enjoy teaching through investigations and the areas I enjoy most are statistics and decision maths. I blog, I record a podcast called Wrong, but Useful and in my limited spare time, I enjoy playing lots of different games.

dominicpenney

dominicpenney - Dominic Penney - @dominicpenney

I am currently the deputy director of the NW2 Maths Hub and also second in department at Ashton on Mersey School in Trafford. This role gives me the opportunity to work with a wide network of teachers across over 50 schools in order to raise maths attainment at a local and national level. I am also a course facilitator for the TSST programme and a course director for the Excellence in Maths leadership programme.

Being part of the TES Maths panel allows me to try out the latest in maths pedagogy and share great resources with maths teachers across the world. I'm a big fan of making maths come to life in the classroom.

jessicabramwell

jessicabramwell - Jessica Bramwell - @mrsjbramwell

I have been teaching for almost 12 years, mainly in schools around South Yorkshire. In January 2016, I moved to a 3-16 school to take a role as director of maths, where I also form part of the senior leadership team. Being at a 3-16 school offers a rare but exciting opportunity to develop a seamless curriculum for compulsory education.

I have been a member of the TES Maths panel since August 2013. TES is often my first stop when planning and I wanted to give something back. I don’t know when other maths teachers find the time to create some amazing resources, but I am grateful they are willing to share them.

I have always loved maths and what could be better than talking about it all day, every day! I always knew I wanted to teach and help pupils reach their full potential.

I have just completed my fourth year as a teacher and my first year as the head of maths at Brakenhale. I am interested in improving standards of maths teaching and embedding new technologies into the classroom. I am always looking out for new resources to help engage and challenge pupils.

Visit the dedicated secondary maths section of our blog for resource picks and more, including a special area to provide support for the changes to the GCSE maths specification.
