Operations and equations with algebraic fractions
Lesson presentations and activities
These were intended for a lesson observation on interview. The starter allowed me to assess students ability and also provides examples etc. to teach the lesson. Everything is hyperlinked so you can click on the links to move between the pages in this pdf. The worksheet is given to the students and they can write on it.

Brilliant. Have to supply your own answers though.

excellent
This is a PPT working through various examples o solving equations that involve algebraic fractions and require solving a quadratic equation. You might need to look past/change the Christmas background though! ;-) For the Cluedo task referenced, see my separate resource upload.

The fjlw type of file does not open in laptop. Does it require a software? Can you send it in some other form ?

Super resource which allows nice progression. Thank you for sharing!

Very good. One possible improvement: please introduce questions that contain hard quadratic equations (ie when a is not 1 in ax^2 + bx + c) because factorising them will be a challenege.

I like these pages a lot because it is well planned, going from easy to difficult, going through adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and simplifying. In addition there are two sheets of each with answers on the back. Excellent for boosting confidence.
There are four "explosions" for students to deal with, each covering different types of algebraic fraction. The first slide involves simple indices and simplifying, the second involves adding and subtracting (find a common denominator), the third has algebraic expressions as denominators and the fourth involves factorising quadratics. These are designed to stop students getting in a rut of doing the same thing over and over again, plus they should (hopefully!) generate good mathematical discussions.

This is a great concept. Thank you for sharing this different style of resource with answers too. =D
Ideal for GCSE revision, this is one of a collection of worksheets which contain exam-type questions that gradually increase in difficulty.
These review sheets are great to use in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and for interventions.

This carefully selected compilation of exam questions has fully-worked solutions designed for students to go through at home, saving valuable time in class.
Click 👉 tes.com/../Exam Question Practice… to download question compilations for more than 50 other topics.
I usually print these questions as an A5 booklet and issue them in class or give them out as a homework. I also make them available for a student who wants to do focused independent study on a topic.
