BTEC Tech Award in Health & Social Care - Component 3 Revision Task

(1)
This resource is based on a scenario for Joseph, aged 29. The information contained within this mimics the information that’s available in an exam paper. While I’ve titled this Christmas revision, it could easily be given out at any other time. There are 15 days worth of tasks for students to completed which mostly mimic exam questions. I have created a range of other scenarios which are available for sale which could be substituted into this document to increase the usability of this. I have a number of other resources which are available for this course. Please leave a review to help others decide if they would like to purchase this resource.

BTEC Tech Award in Health & Social Care - Component 3 Exam Scenarios

6 Resources
I have created six scenarios for BTEC Tech in H&SC, Component 3. These mimic the exam with an introduction (location, medical history, family/friends/social interactions, day to day life), a supplementary piece of information, lifestyle data & physiological data and then goes onto give information to help design a health and wellbeing plan. There are six case studies: Aidan - 16 years old Anne - 32 years old Charis - 21 years old Jean - 70 years old Joseph - 29 years old Paul - 43 years old I have not added exam questions so that you could tailor this information into a lesson or an exam question of your choice (i.e. you might want to focus on a particular element of PIES for section A questions). I plan to use these as scaffolds within my lessons rather than an actual exam paper. There are a range of other resources available for this unit too. If you purchase, I’d be really grateful if you’d leave a review for other people so that they can decide if they’d like to purchase too.

OCR Cambridge Nationals in Health &Social Care R021 Revision Activities

(1)
I have designed 16 revision activities which are linked to LO1-LO3 of R021. This will be set as an Easter revision activity (a small task for almost every day of the holidays) but it could be adapted to be completed over a different period of time. The aim is to get students to complete something everyday to help them for their exam in June. If you do purchase this resource, it would be great if you’d leave a review to help someone else decide if it would be useful to them.

I create my own exam questions and use questions from past papers to allow students to practice these longer answer, high value questions prior to their exam. 57 Business Key Words (Display)

(1)
I have created 57 key words using Photoshop which can be printed out & used as a display. They are all saved as a JPEG & are brightly coloured. There are two main ways that I use them: I print in full A4 colour & laminate before sticking to the wall as a display. I print smaller & either hand them out and ask for definitions from students or create flip cards with keyrings to help with revision. Please leave me a review!

Cambridge Nationals in Health & Social Care R021 Revision Clocks

(0)
This resource includes 6 revision clocks - there is one for each LO plus an additional 2 for LO2 where I have broken it down further as I felt it would be cramming a lot onto the time given. I use these extensively for revision and for retrieval practice. I give students two pens in different colours and time them. They have 5 minutes (or multiples if I have merged) to complete each section. I ask them to write everything they know in one colour and then go back to fill in more information using a different colour. This helps students to know exactly what they know and what they do not. This can be done as revision or as part of a lesson. My students like these activities and say they’re really beneficial. I have also set them as homework where appropriate. If you do download, it would be wonderful if you’d leave feedback to support others in deciding if the activity is something they’d use.

Cambridge Nationals in Health & Social Care Revision Pack

6 Resources
This resource is designed to support students studying Cambridge Nationals in Health and Social Care. The resources focus on R021 (examined unit). There is a knowledge organiser for each LO. These are BLANK with questions & activities for students to complete to support with revision; all are multiple pages long. This could be given after a topic in preparation for an assessment or as a homework activity. It’s easy to print one page too so that you can split the activities to suit yourself. PLEASE NOTE: the knowledge organisers are BLANK for students to complete. This is an approach to KOs which is aimed at retrieval. They are BLANK. There is at least one revision clock per LO also. The aim of these are to provide a revision activity which is timed. I use them for a full lesson or half a lesson. Students must write down everything they know about each section in one colour. They then supplement this information with research using other resources. Thsi is written in another colour so students (& teachers) are aware of what they need to concentrate on. There is also a revision activity for a holiday - one activity per day for students to complete. I set this at Easter. They are small activities designed for continual revision as support for students before their exam. Easy to breakdown further if you’d like to alter. If you download this resource, please do leave a review for others! Thank you!
