This word-search has been created for KS3 Physics but can even be used for KS4 revision. Itās a quick starter activity or something to give students to do if they have finished the task first. It shouldnāt take long at all - maybe 10 minutes max for the whole class.
Its a good reflection tool and a quick way of getting some AFL into the lesson!
This could even be used if the students have never covered this topic before - it allows the students to discover the key words for the lesson by themselves.
There are 6 questions relating to energy transfer & stores, some of which are word fill. Once they have answered the question they can find the key word on the word-search !
This word search would be perfect for an icebreaker, starter and plenary activity! It can be used individually or in groups or the whole class! Itās based off of the periodic table so students may need access to one to be able to answer it. They will need to find the names for the symbols.

This is animation I use to explain metallic bonding and to show the ādelocalised electronsā. You are able to change the colours or size of the animation and input this into your lesson/powerpoint.
I created this myself, using animation on powerpoint - hope it helps you explain metallic bonding! :)

In this document there are primary and secondary succession flow charts. I have include ones with text next to each diagram and ones which are blank which would work as a worksheet for students to fill in themselves.
They are in a Word document so editable if needs be for your specification of work. They involve the mention of the nitrogen cycle and some photosynthesis as well as succession. All diagrams are my own and created on word.
UK:
Appropriate for KS4 and can be used for KS5 revision.

This is a presentation of magnetic fields and fields around wires. Its a good introduction to use with KS3, keeps them engaged and refreshes their knowledge.
There is a great amount of AFL throughout as well.
This could be used for an online lesson or face to face!
**This is a quick icebreaker to use with your students to test them in a fun way!
It can be used for KS3 & KS4.
The RULES

Drag and Drop the labels into the correct boxes! This is an interactive activity for online learning and can be used in the class room as a class activity!
Diagrams Included:
Animal Cell
Plant Cell
I will be adding to this file and re-uploading with more diagrams on so make sure you save it and keep checking back!
Online Activity
Iāve designed this activity purposely to be used for remote/online learning. The students will be able to drag and drop the electrons, protons and neutrons to the correct areas, without interfering with the diagram itself or title etc. You can use this activity in anyway you choose, emailing it out to each student individually or doing it during an online synchronous session.
Drag and Drop activity involving the periodic table, there is 1 to 4 orbitals shown. Students will be able to choose any to do or you can edit the slides to suit you.
This is an Exit card which you can use as a plenary activity for students as they leave your lesson, they canāt leave without handing you the card!
This is a great opportunity for some meaningful AFL and to make it even more useful you can ask students to add their name. This was you get individual feedback from the students and can then adjust your future lessons accordingly. Offering students specific support for their needs!
To use you can print out them each time However, to save the trees, you could print enough for one class then laminate so they can be written on like whiteboards and reused for multiple classes.
This is a great resource with one side for āshading the boxā. This will show you the visual level of understanding of the whole lesson. The other side has three questions relating to the lesson which you can then use to plan their next lesson. You will be able to identify what most students were struggling to understand and even identify misconceptions.
This type of self assessment is great it allows students to be honest and not feel embarrassed if they are struggling to grasp a concept, as they dont have to say it outlaid or show their hand. Itās completely private between you and the student and it shouldnāt take longer than 5 minutes.
I hope this resource help you in the best way! and encourages our learners to be proud of their mistakes as its nothing to be ashamed of!
