A Powerpoint presentation which revises fractions and then helps the children to count in fractions using halves, quarters and thirds. There is then an activity sheet to complete. This has been used with a Year 2 class.
Three differentiated sheets about comparing and ordering intervals of time. The lower and middle activity focus mainly on hours and minutes. The higher activity includes seconds as an additional challenge.
A powerpoint explaining the difference between odd and even numbers. Statements to investigate as a whole class in order to reason about odd and even numbers. An activity sheet with similar style questions for children to independently investigate and explain their reasoning.
A collection of short tasks for children to do when they come into the classroom in the morning. There are 34 different tasks and they are aimed at KS1 children. All can be done on a whiteboard and do not need any extra resources.
A six-week unit of work based around the artist Banksy. Children will be encouraged to appraise street art and learn about Banksy. They will then use stencilling techniques and internet based tools to create a Banksy inspired piece with a moral message.
I have done this unit with a Year 6 class but it could be adapted to suit any KS2 year group.
Cursive handwriting sheets for individual letter formation practise. Each sheet has large letters to trace and smaller ones to copy. All letters are cursive and there are variations for the different cursive formations such as open and closed letters and straight and curved letters. Just choose the ones your school uses.
