Spy School - The Seventh Department - a quirky school leavers gala musical with fantastic songs, lots of characters and dance numbers. An original musical in one act written for 10-12 year olds. Also great for older children (see what you think). KS2, KS3. Heaps of larger-than-life parts (mostly spies). Everyone gets to be involved. Fantastic company songs, a heart-breaking rookies song and one rap solo. Dance numbers to suit. Super easy to stage. Cast size 16 – 30. Running time around 50 minutes. Fast moving, finny and a great excuse for disguises, trilbies and cool made-up gadgets. You need this musical on your stage! Fairy Wings was written for 2 girls (sisters), but could be used however you wish. The playing age is 15+ - one sister has to be older than the other. There is very little staging required - a couple of chairs and a small table, television remote, fairy wand and an apple. A witches costume is also needed - but that’s it! The sketch quickly develops into something verging on magical. What does happen in the cellar? How did Gemma get transformed into a witch? Is Lucy really a fairy? Gorgeous Gerald and The Ghost is a sketch in rhyme with workshop or classroom notes and two related warm-up games. It’s a cautionary tale in verse and prose that requires 8 actors. Best age range would be from 14/15 years upwards. It requires precision vocal acting, as the lines bounce around the characters, to keep the rhythm going. It needs some physical acting from a few characters and can involve the following if desired: -Slow motion sequence -Dance -Sound effects or music -Storytelling Can be set in any era for performance. Great as a reading/vocal exercise if space is limited. Workshop notes are provided for vocal work and for moving it. The warm-up games are provided as support for the slow motion sequence and for character development. Full details are provided. Speed is a FREE comedy sketch in rhyme you can use for classroom vocal exercises or a physical drama workshop. Also a great sketch for a school revue.
