Here a PowerPoint has two teacher examples and two similar ones for students to try. In each of these, both equations need to be multiplied by a positive integer so to eliminate a variable
The worksheet consists on 20 questions and worked solutions are included. If students are working in pairs, each student can attempt a different column of 10 questions and then they can mark each others work using the solutions.
*For consistency, in each example and solution, the second variable is eliminate first.
