Daily Planning Clock

Plan your child’s day with this easy-to-use clock, and introduce the concept of reading the time from an early age! PREPARATION: Cut out the clock, hands, icons and/or labels (I have provided variations of some of the labels so you can choose the ones that are most suitable). Laminate all pieces. (This is optional, but highly recommended so that the clock will last as long as possible) You can attach the hands to the clock using a split pin if you have one (this way the hands will rotate easily), or otherwise just use sticky putty. HOW TO USE: Choose whether you wish to use the icons (for young children) or labels (for older children). You could even use both together for children learning to read. Place the activity icons on the clock frame using sticky putty so that they correspond to the appropriate times on the clock. During the day you can turn the clock hands to point to the relevant task/activity. This way you and your child will know what is going to happen during the day, and when it will happen. You can change the icons as you wish to suit the day ahead. In this resource you will get: Information: Preparation and How to Use Clock with minute and hour hands 32 different activity icons Labels for the activity icons Colour and BW copies of the resource are both included.
