Welcome to the World of Wind, Wind Patterns, and the Coriolis Effect!!
This resource is all about wind and how the main trade winds are formed. It breaks down for students the complexities of the Coriolis Effect, low and high pressure systems as well as the three wind cells; The Hadley, Ferrel and Polar Cells.
By the end of this lesson students will be able to explain how low and high pressure systems along with the force of the Coriolis Effect form the trade winds, the westerlies and the easterlies.
