Essential mathematical vocabulary is revised and reinforced and new vocabulary introduced. This could be used as a whole lesson , beginning with revision of factors, moving onto finding common factors of numbers and then to reducing fractions by finding common factors. The presentation includes opportunities for children to discuss in talk partners and explain their reasoning. It is also punctuated with mini practice activities for children to complete independently. A worksheet is included on the presentation and the final slide encourages children to demonstrate their understanding through a game of fraction bingo.
