Boys’ Puberty - What Changes Can We Expect?
A brand new one-two hour lesson suitable for upper KS2 / KS3 (Year 7), all about puberty and the changes boys typically go through. Taken from the EC Publishing Complete Primary Package for 2024 (find it on the EC Publishing website).
The pack introduces the physical and emotional changes that boys usually encounter, although it emphasises the fact that what’s normal for one person can be different to the next.
The lesson includes and hour-long PowerPoint, a bespoke EC Video clip with questions, alongside a range of engaging but also age-appropriate activities.

NEW PSHE / CAREERS lesson all about the importance of attendance and punctuality throughout both school and later in life. Students will investigate the link between attendance and performance at school as well as how their attendance records can impact on their future careers/further education ambitions. They will explore what top employers such as Google have to say about attendance and punctuality and see how an employee’s reliability is an even more important quality to many employers than top exam results.
There are case studies to examine, clip tasks to complete, creative and analysis tasks and much more. This lesson lasts one hour and can be used with either KS3 or KS4. Everything is editable and ready to go.

This fully-resourced, hour long PSHE lesson is all about living a healthy lifestyle with a specific focus on the four main types of physical exercise: endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. It is best suited to upper KS2 (Year 6) but could be used with younger or older year groups including lower KS3. Caffeine and Energy Drinks Lesson
This 1-hour, fully resourced PSHE lesson is suitable for upper KS2 or lower KS3. It investigates the risks associated with consuming caffeinated energy drinks as well as looking at the harmful effects of consuming too many ‘free sugars’.
The students will begin the lesson by reflecting on the events that swept the nation when the Prime product line was first released. We will discuss the reasons why some schools felt the need to ban the drink before delving into the health risks associated with excessive caffeine consumption.
The students will look at the caffeine and sugar content of a variety of drinks, reflecting on their safety, suitability for young people, as well as the moral question of whether it is right to market these products to kids and young people.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well-differentiated, and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no-prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.

NEW 2 HOUR PSHE lesson all about the meaning of equity and equality, the differences between the two concepts and how each of them is used to promote fairness in society. Throughout the lesson students will evaluate the pros and cons of both of these ideas (equality of opportunity vs using equity to reach equality of outcome). This lesson is best suited to KS4 (or possibly KS5).
The lesson includes card sorts, literacy-based tasks, analysis tasks, clip and discussion tasks and much more.
This has been written to cover the 2020-24 PSHE guidance on the importance of equality and fits in nicely with any unit about prejudice and discrimination in society. Everything is editable and ready to go.

British Values Assembly. Suitable for use with either KS2 or KS3, this fun, light-hearted assembly is perfect for introducing, or reinforcing your student’s knowledge of all five British values.
In this assembly, King Charles III presents British values and their importance to a less-than-interested student, Loudmouth Lewis, in an attempt to win him over.
The PowerPoint includes embedded clips, audio tracks, and surprise animations to keep your audience engaged. It is humorous, informative, and very engaging. The assembly lasts about up to 20 minutes if all the clips are watched. The PowerPoint is also fully editable with the exception of the background image. We advise watching the slideshow in full before showing it to your students, so you know how long to spend on each slide.
NEW PSHE lesson all about what communities are, why they are beneficial to us, how our mental health improves when we become involved in off-line communities and how our mental health suffers when we lose contact with our off-line communities.
Students will investigate different types of communities, how they develop, how they overlap and how they can lend support in time of need. They will also examine the phenomenon of the hikikomoris of Japan, individuals who choose to actively cut themselves off from all off-line communities, and explore the impact this has on their mental health.
This has been written to cover the 2020-24 PSHE guidance on the importance of communities. The lesson will last you at least one hour and is best suited to upper KS3 or KS4.

Positive Male Role Models - Addressing Harmful Influences and Gender Stereotypes. In this lesson, students will explore the positive qualities and characteristics to consider when choosing a role model to emulate or be influenced by.
Created to counter the harmful views propagated by online influencers such as Andrew Tate, this lesson empowers children to become critical consumers of information, rather than accepting online hearsay as fact. Intended as a gentle precursor to secondary school topics of misogyny and toxic masculinity, this lesson reminds students of their previous learning on gender stereotypes and applies this knowledge to new scenarios related to harmful gender stereotypes.
While this lesson does not explicitly name Andrew Tate, we will apply our critical thinking skills to an age-appropriate selection of Tate’s quotes without crediting him as the influencer (please note that we have been careful to select examples that include no sexual references or violence). This lesson is suitable for students in UKS2 (Year 6) or possibly LKS3 students in Year 7.
