This planning is was used for a year 6 class but could also be used in year 5. This Talk for Writing unit on persuasive writing includes the first and second phase, imitate and innovate planning. The planning is detailed and includes differentiation. The 3rd phase is simply having the children write a persuasive text independently. The Talk Story is included. The unit also includes many of the resources needed for the lessons. Some I was not able to include due to copyright, however they can be easily found online. I hope you find the resources useful. Writing display poster can be displayed in your classroom to support children with basic writing skills. Editable in Publisher version and PDF version included. Each skills has an symbol linked so that it can be used with children from Year 1 to Year 6. I also used these symbols in my marking.
