Poem - Simon Armitage - Unseen poem
Here is a standalone unseen poetry lesson based on Simon Armitage’s Poem.
For the most impact when teaching this lesson, it is recommended that you open the analysis with paper covering all but the first three lines of the poem - then as the lesson progresses move the paper so more of the poem is exposed. This allows for students to alter their opinions of the poem as it progresses.
This lesson was graded outstanding within internal QA processes.
