This takes a look at Internet, intranet, extranet, chat rooms and forums and allows you to aid a discussion within your classroom. There are useful timings so that you are able to follow the lesson plan attached. I used this with a sixth form group but it is relevant to year 10 upwards who can hold and listen to different perspectives on the subject. There are a range of opportunities where you can embed E & D within this lesson. You may choose to print sections off so that students are able to write within the tables provided. This will assist you in your AFL targets within the lesson.

These 3 resources are useful for both students and staff. The PowerPoint looks at what Google Drive is and how to use it. This is useful for students setting this up for the first time and also for staff use. I have then added a quick 'how to' guide which can be printed and left in convenient places for people to access it. We have one on everyone's staff desks as well! Google drive is a useful cloud technology storage service that allows students to work from many locations effortlessly.

An excellent resource that includes an interactive lesson powerpoint along with a booklet for the class to work through. The booklet includes 6 tasks that have a star rating system so that you can see how difficult each one is. This is great for differentiation within your lesson. This tasks, including the link to Codecademy should take around 2-3 lessons to complete and is great for observations!
