My name is Fasuludeen Mohammed Ali, Growing up, I always wanted to have a job where I could be in the sea. I never thought it was possible until I was studying and completed a post-graduate in Oceanography and Coastal area studies with a Marine conservation project. Once I was finished, I was offered the chance to work on a CMIS Coastal Management Information System with IITM, the Indian Institution of Technology Madras and Jumped at the opportunity. Now I am working in the Ministry of Education as a Marine Science teacher. I have beach survey experience and oceanographical instrument handling, so this is an ideal job for me. Oceanography is the science of how much the world works, and is very much involved in tackling the problems faced by our modern society.
