I’m sure you’ve experienced the irritation of continually highlighting the same errors in a student’s day-to-day work, only for them to ignore the need to address the issues. This pair of sheets is designed to be stuck into students’ books at the end of each term. I invite my students to read back through all the marking from the previous term and count the number of times I have, for example, highlighted a missing apostrophe. Once students have counted up all the errors, this gives them an idea of the major things they need to focus upon during the next term and set themselves targets.
