This resource consists of 5 growth mindset cube nets. Each face has a pattern to be coloured in and a growth mindset quote on. A total of 30 quotes in all. A Few Ways You Might Use Them Have one per child or group and each morning they roll their cube to see what quote is going to inspire them for that day. Have a group of children roll a cube and then discuss the quote on top. Individual children roll a cube and then write down how they might respond to the quote.

The resource includes 32 times table riddle task cards. One set in colour and another in black and white to help reduce printing costs. Also included are 8 blank cards for children to create their own riddle task cards; an answer grid; a recording sheet for the children and a board game for them to play using their riddle task cards. How can you use these task cards in your classroom? Use a card as a warm-up session before your maths lesson. Hide cards around the classroom; armed with clipboards and answering sheets the children look for them. Assessment - use some of the cards to see if a child understands the concept. In this set you will find 32 task cards about adding and subtracting fractions. This set of 32 task cards looks at addition and subtraction of fractions. The answer sheet has room for the children to show their working out. The cards can be used in a variety of ways by individual children, pairs, small groups and even the whole class. Here are a few ways you might use them: Pairs can work together to solve cards and then quiz each other. They can be used as an enrichment or revision activity for children who finish their work early. You can use task cards with simple traditional board games. The child has to solve a card before they can take their turn. Take them home as homework.

These PowerPoints contains 16 weeks’ worth of daily challenges (80 in all). Aimed at youngsters in KS2 and lower KS3. There is a mixture of English and maths challenges, thinking skills, logic puzzles and visual literacy. The resource contains two PowerPoints - one has the challenges arranged so that, for example, you get five maths challenges in a particular week or five spelling challenges. The second PowerPoint contains the same challenges but each week is a mixed bag. Some of the challenges are open-ended. Those having an answer are followed by an answer slide. The themes covered are: Geography Recipes - work out the amounts needed to make each city. Emoji Sums - emoji figures instead of numbers. Great fun! Anagram-azing - all the anagrams are words from the NC Word Lists. Words Within Words - just how many words can you make from one word? Thinking Skills - let your imagination go wild! Matchstick Puzzles - these should be easy but… Visual Literacy - some great pictures to think about, discuss and maybe write about. Word Sums - where did all those peanuts go? Planet Recipes - work out the amounts needed to make each planet. Multiplication Facts - a multiplication grid to fill in. It can be delivered as a class lesson or used by individual children on their iPads. The children meet different characters who, like many children, were finding the learning of times tables difficult, until they came up with this unique way of remembering them. Each PowerPoint lesson describes, in detail, how the 6, 7 and 9 times tables can be used to create some interesting tongue twisters.
