Passé composé ou l'imparfait - un jeu (PPT)
This PowerPoint is a game to play with the class to help students learn which adverbs are used in the passé composé and which are used in the imparfait.
A first introduction to adjectives that come before the noun.
This is not an exhaustive look at these adjectives, but rather an introduction to BAGS. Included in this document/PowerPoint is a song (with lyrics I wrote!) to help students remember some of these adjectives.
Included in the PowerPoint is a recording of the song. :)
A Powerpoint presentation that introduces Classroom Commands. Great for the first days of French !
A two page PPT - the first page introduces the list of commands and the second page has the translations.
How many times a day do your students ask to go to the bathroom?
Take that question, and use it as a reference when teaching different grammatical concepts!
Do you have a student who struggles in French? Do you have a student who still can't get a certain concept straight, no matter how many times you explain it?
This resource is for that student. This resource is for YOU. :-)

Topics include - telling which helping verb to use; giving the correct past participle and answering specific grammar questions.
This game can easily be added to and/or modified to suit your students' needs.
Includes 1 game board
Helping verb cards - 30
Past participle cards - 30
Chance (grammar) cards - 12 + 3 make your own questions
This 3 page document helps students see the 'big picture' of object pronouns as well as the importance of prepositions when deciding which object pronoun to use. A flow chart I created leads students to the right choice of object pronoun until the process becomes automatic.
The second resource is useful for introducing the topic of object pronouns in lower levels as well as a reference document for students in upper levels.
An example is provided for each item.
Do you have students who struggle with correct French pronunciation? Of course! We all do!
How much time do we spend teaching our newest learners how to properly pronounce words in French ? How often do they remember the correct pronunciation? I developed this system while reflecting on the struggles some of my tutoring students had this year.
The MOURITSEN METHOD is easy to use for both teachers and students.

YOU WILL BE DELIGHTED WITH THIS IDEA!
A few years ago, I noticed that my students couldn't remember where to put "ne...pas" in a sentence. It's easy to remember the placement of 'ne...pas' in the present tense, but my students struggled with placement in the passé composé, etc.
This simple physical technique that I made up is catchy and easy to remember!
A bunch of helpful items for learning verbs! Included are:
Ne...pas - teaching strategy (video)
A lesson on irregular verbs - ppt
Aller - teaching strategy (video)
ER verbs with spelling changes - big picture
Passé composé with avoir and être - ppt

This is an introductory PowerPoint to the following verbs: faire, dire, aller, pouvoir and vouloir. Each verb is conjugated on a slide and then all verbs are compared to each other to help students with memorization.
