I am a secondary trained English teacher and current HoD at a Middle School. I have been head of KS3 History too. Teach (or have taught) a range of subjects including: KS2 Humanities, KS3 Geography and some PE too. All my resources that are uploaded are taken from what I deem to be my best lessons and I hope they help as a time-saver or even a starting point as our time is precious.

The Peasants' Revolt: Cause and Consequence

Included in this resource is a double lesson (2 x 55 mins) worth of work. The PPT guides you through a scenario based activity to enable students to empathise with the peasants whilst explaining the events of the revolt. Some resources are included on the PPT for printing. The second lesson focuses on the causes and consequences, including an extension and challenge regarding its significance. All worksheets included. This has been adapted from a resource I found and is not entirely my own workings. Have fun using/editing or adapting this to your own needs.

Britain in 1509: Source Interpretation

Included is two documents: the first a series of source interpretation and analysis tasks and the second (leading on from this) is an analysis in greater detail. These are as part of a first lesson on a new subject introducing the Tudor era of British History for a KS3 year7 mixed ability group. Some of the work included has been adapted from other sources and lessons I have used over previous years and is not all my own work. Use, edit and enjoy!

Included in this is up to 2 lessons worth of resources on the crusades. This includes homework tasks and a group task. There is source analysis of images (included and printable from PPT) as well as a paired or group source analysis which can be enlarged. An answer sheet is provided for this. Optional resources are a plenary quiz with answers on the PPT (bitesize links included) and differentiated main task to explain why different groups of people went on a crusade. Some differentiated activities to support SEN/LA/EAL included. These resources are gathered from my last few years teaching and I do not own all of these. Feel free to use/edit/ adapt and have fun.

Included in this is a double lesson (2 x 55 mins). This includes a full powerpoint and differentiated task support sheets (suitable for SEN/EAL) as well as an extension/homework worksheet. The lesson requires students to investigate and explain different sources in order to make an informed interpretation of their own. It includes a range of documents that have been adapted and used from different origins - not all my own work! Use, edit, adapt and enjoy!
