This lesson looks at the environmental issues explored in the film The Lorax. Pupils have a clip of The Lorax to watch with questions, there are discussion tasks, application of NML, SE and NML to the ethical problems. This lesson also contains a mini assessment for this lesson but can be used to re-cap knowledge.

This is a lesson on the basics of Natural Moral Law, Utilitarianism and Situation Ethics. The lesson includes the trolley problem, a knowledge test, discussion and written tasks. There is also a clip at the end on Dr Seuss to see how he used ethical themes in his work.

AQA Crime and Punishment Bundle (GCSE)

This bundle includes all lessons needed to teach the GCSE topic of Crime and Punishment. You will need the Purple Christianity GCSE AQA book for a couple of the lessons. The lessons include re-cap past paper questions, past paper plenaries, clips, debates, paired tasks, independent tasks and tasks that allow pupils to move around. There is no assessment as I just use the AQA past papers (off the website) as an assessment. These lessons cover everything that needs to be covered according to the AQA spec. Individual lessons can be purchased in my shop.

This is a complete topic for Yr 9 introducing pupils to Situation ethics, Natural Moral Law and Utilitarianism. They need to apply these theories to different stories of Dr Seuss. There are a couple of lessons where you will need to look online for the stories (which can be found as PDF’s). They will explore the issues of environmental ethics, stealing, lying, belief etc… It includes assessment and PLC.
