The first activity uses numbers that do not cross the ‘tens’ boundary, therefore there is no regrouping/carrying. The second activity involves carrying in order to work out the answer. There is an example on each worksheet. They should be tackled depending on ability. They are aimed primarily towards year 2 and 3 aged children, but feel free to use your own judgement.
