I created this a little while ago to show students how their note taking in history should progress over the 18 months of A Level to help gain the grades.

This is a simple little tracking sheet for students to have in their books to track their progress from year 7 to year 9. It is easily adaptable based on the marking system your school has. This example is based on the idea of benchmarks throughout key stage three using the old historical skills.
