Here you will find planning for the whole Autumn term (16 weeks’ worth) of planning for a topic I have loosely entitled ‘Into the forest’. This topic is focused on the forest theme and Autumn and moves through a range of other topics as the term progresses: festivals and celebrations, Halloween, Winter and Christmas.
The planning covers a range of objectives taken from the new EYFS curriculum and is colour coded by area. A free list of the objectives covered in this medium term plan has also been included. Please note that the planning assumes that PE and music are taught from their own schemes during ‘PE and music lessons’ and thus objectives being covered are separate to this.
Every area of the curriculum is covered each week with a clear learning objective and an activity linking directly to this objective. Each week is also themed around a recommended book of the week and comes with key suggested questions for each subject area.
This was a labour of love that I will be using with my own class this year. A lot of time went in to making this the best it could be. I hope that this saves you a lot of time and provides you with some idea for your Autumn term planning.
