BTEC Level 3 - Unit 4 - Sports Leadership Resource Pack (Aims A, B & C)

(0)
Unit 4 - Sports Leadership resource pack for the 2016 Pearson specification of a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport … In this pack you will find: Slides covering learning aims A, B and C Templates for SWOT analysis, action planning, risk assessments and a session planner The slides thin towards to end as aims A and B are to be completed in a word document and is more theoretical whilst aim C and the content is more about delivery and experiencing someone delivering a particular leadership style and then trying it for themselves before they then complete the respective evidence for the second assignment. I deliver this unit between September and December with three lessons per week and the content stretches perfectly with two of three lessons being theoretical for aims A and B whilst that shifts to two practical and one theoretical for Aim C with the theory lesson being heavily reflective and getting them to practice the skillset for distinction criteria, analysing my delivery as well as their own. I have not put a scheme of work in for this resource pack as the delivery preferences can differ upon the lecturer so it wouldn’t take long to adjust based off your style.

Unit 25 - Rules, Regs and Officiating resource pack for the 2016 Pearson specification of a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport … In this pack you will find: Slides covering Aims A through to C (over 100 slides) - these have been split off into separate lessons and have lesson outcomes and starter activities that recap content or introduce new parts to check knowledge ** I have uploaded two file types - one is a .pptx , and the other is .ppt - this is to cover incase you are unable to open .pptx on your computer ** Assignment support documents for assignment 1 (Aims A and B) and assignment 2 (Aim C) Resources used for evidence when completing assignments including officiating logbook, SWOT analysis template, self-reflection template and skills/qualities of an official worksheet Key words document for students to complete in the early days of the unit With the practical elements in this assignment, aims A and B are where the majority of the lesson time is spent and the slides reflect that. Aim C is getting out and officiating in different roles so the group may need to facilitate the setting up of opportunities for them to gain this exposure to sports and officiate. I have found the toughest part of this unit is developing the student’s ability to reflect effectively against the key officiate responsibilities but hopefully the logbook and reflective practice template will assist in that process.

‘Unit 10 - Organising Sports Events’ resource pack for the 2016 Pearson specification of a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport … In this pack you will find: Slides covering Aims A through to D (over 100 slides) - these have been split off into separate lessons and have lesson outcomes and starter activities that recap content or introduce new parts to check knowledge ** There are two files for this part of the resource pack - a .ppt file and a .pptx file - just incase the .pptx won’t open on your computer ** Assignment support documents for assignment 1 (Aims A and B) and assignment 2 (Aims C and D) Resources used for evidence when completing assignments including finances spreadsheet, proposal template, marketing plan template and a SWOT analysis template Key words document for students to complete in the early days of the unit This pack should be perfect to pick up and go! If you haven’t taught this before, sit with the specification and slides and familiarise yourself but it should all be pretty self-explanatory. I have not provided a scheme of work as you may wish to adapt bits and pieces but that won’t take much to create. It is the sort of unit where the students will need time to just crack on and ensure that they are fulfilling the roles and responsibilities within all three phases (planning, promoting and delivery) so the 9 “planned” lessons will comfortably last a term I would say.
