This task is designed for students to follow clues given by a teacher and find hidden sums on the topic of Indices. Student Outcomes: Apply index laws to numerical expressions with integer indices. Express numbers in scientific notation. Use index notation with numbers to establish the index laws with positive integral indices and the zero index. Description These cards loosely model the design of a Uno card and are use to alert students of poor or negative behaviors in the classroom. Each card describes a behavior level and works on a traffic light system. Yellow = First Warning Orange = Second Warning Red = Final Warning Green = Go to head of years office NEW CONTENT** Gold = Positive behavior The downloadable content is fully customisable. All you need to do is download, edit to suit your schools behaviour management plan and print. Recommendations These cards are a visual display that can be used in the classroom to alert students of there level. They can be sat on a desk to remind both students and teacher of what level an individual is on. They can also be used in a Physical Education setting as Warning cards for poor behavior. The Positive Behaviour Card is used to reward students who are displaying the right attitude or behaviors in a classroom. The resource can be used with students, aged 11- 14 to learn all there is to know about the periodic table. Students are required to use this investigation task to find a Supervillain who has stolen elements of the periodic table. LEARNING OBJECTIVE Students can use scientific knowledge and findings from investigations to evaluate claims based on evidence gathered. TIME TAKEN depending on the group of students it can take 120 mins + to complete. INCLUDES: Task Description sheet (1 per student) Periodic table with missing elements (1 per student) IMPLEMENTING: students can work as a group of 2 or by themselves to complete this resource. 1 of each of the printouts per student is required. Students can compelete the task in their workbook or create a poster to present the infomation. DIFFERENTATION AND/OR EXTENSION OPTION: This can be done by adding or removing more elements from the periodic table resource attached.
